Summary
A pair of model shops in one unit, a grocer's and butcher's, belonging to the donor's mother. The shop is made of a wooden structure, painted in cream, red and black, with the entrance to both shops in the centre, the grocer's shop to the left, butcher's shop to the right. One door, two panes of glass, and a clock feature from the top of the shop, have all become detached, listed separately. Also one of the twelve drawers from grocer's side of the shop is missing, and one is in pieces and incomplete.
Provenance
Given to the donor’s mother, possibly bought from Harrods, and donated to the National Trust Museum of Childhood by the Venerable Chris Hawthorn in April 2012.
