Summary
A bisque-headed doll, dressed as Punchenella, riding a goat, which in turn is stood on a wheeled base. The doll has inset blue glass eyes and moulded and painted facial features. She has a long blonde mohair wig. Her hands are also made of bisque. She is wearing a faded pink (probably once red) jacket trimmed with gold coloured fringe over a faded green skirt trimmed with a faded pink silk ruched hem. The ruched hem is shattering in places. The doll wears a faded pink conical hat (like a jester's hat), also trimmed with a gold coloured fringe and green ribbons. On her feet are faded green silk boots. The goat is made of wood covered with white-grey fur. The goat has black painted metal horns, black painted wooden hooves and black and yellow glass eyes. It has red painted nostrils and mouth. A pink ribbon around the goat's neck is also attached to the doll's right wrist. The goat has a pink ribbon rosette between its horns. The goat is mounted on a dark red painted rectangular metal platform supported on two large spoked wheels at the back and one small spoked wheel at the front. Beneath the metal plate is a box possibly incorporating a clockwork mechanism.
