Summary
A V19th century wooden ink-well holder designed to hold two ink-wells for red and black ink and pens. It is rectangular in shape and has a thin rectangular compartment at the back on which are two separate hinged lids. The lids have small rectangular shaped bone labels nailed onto them with 'Red' printed on one and 'Black' printed on the other. Inside are two holes for ceramic ink pots to fit into. The front of the stand has a black tray section, presumably to hold pens.
