Summary
A narrow plain wooden box, with removable lid, containing eleven slate pencils (possibly 19th century). The thin pine box has a groove around three sides into which the lid slides. Seven of the pencils have a half cover-up of a red and white mottled paper, one has a squared patterned red and white paper cover, one has a black and white striped paper covering, the other two have no coverings. Total number of items is 13.
