Summary
A wooden box containing a set of twenty eight dominoes. The box has a hinged lid and is fastened with a small clasp (all these fittings are in gold-coloured metal). The box is held together with silver-coloured metal nails. There are six small wooden plugs inserted to mend holes in the box, which appears quite old and worn. Each domino is made from a rectangle of a hard wood stained black, topped with a matching rectangle of bone or ivory, held together with a gold-coloured metal pin. The ivory top is scored across the centre and indented for the 'spots', the scoring and 'spots' being filled with black ink. One domino (the double 5) has one of its ivory corners chipped off and missing. Total number of items is 29.
