Summary
A group of items all relating to the national savings campaign which ran during World War II, in which the West View Preparatory School took part. There is a poster and four certificates. The colour-printed poster is headed 'Salute The Soldier' and has a large illustration of a soldier in khaki uniform and a semicircular table of 'money saved'. The soldier's arm can be moved along to indicate the latest total. Three of the certificates are headed 'Certificate of Honour' and were awarded to either the school or Miss D.E. Hill (Group Secretary) in 1943 or 1944. The fourth was awarded to Miss Hill at the end of the war to thank her for 'the notable service freely given from 1940 to 1945'. Total number of items is 5.
