Summary
The chassis of a clockwork Schuco racing car, the top part is missing. This is possibly a Schuco Mercedes Benz dating from late 1940s era, and is loosely based on the pre-war Silver Arrows cars. Schuco cars are assembled from a kit of metal pieces. The car has four rubber wheels, the front two jointed. A metal steering wheel protrudes upwards at an angle. The internal mechanism of cogs can be clearly seen. The back of the car ends in a point. The underside of the car is black painted tinplate with many inscriptions and manufacturing details in white paint. There are two circular holes, a slot for a brown rubber mechanism and a smaller slot for a metal cog. The car is made in Germany by 'Schuco Studio'.
