A 'Clockwork Dancing Doll' in its colour printed original cardboard box with a transparent plastic window through which the plastic doll can be seen. The plastic doll has moulded and painted facial features, moulded and painted brown hair, and jointed arms. She is wearing a yellow, red and blue dress, a white apron, a white short sleeved shirt and a yellow headscarf. Underneath are white cotton knickers. On her feet are painted white socks, black painted shoes. There is a metal clockwork key attached to a piece of string around her neck. The key slots onto a metal post in the middle of her back and, when wound, the doll appears to dance. Printed on the sides and back of the box are colour printed illustrations of dolls wearing different national costume. One end flap of the box has become detached. Total number of items is 4.
