Summary
A set of four identical wooden 19th century school desks. Each comprises an all-in-one desk and a hinged seat supported on an iron frame. They have fixed wooden footrests and a fixed wooden writing surface. The front edge of this has a shallow channel running along the entire length. The channel is interrupted in the centre with a single circular inkwell. In front of the channel are two rectangular narrow slots which would have held slates. The writing surface has two rectangles carved with a grid pattern. Total number of items is 4.
