Summary
A 19th century bird scarer made from three rectangular pieces of wood held together with wire string through a pair of holes in each part. The central wooden part is a bat with an integral handle. The handle is marked with a 'W' carved into it. There is also a drilled hole at the end of the handle, possibly for hanging it up. The object has woodworm damage.
