Summary
A 'Victoria' (1870 - 1880) style doll's baby carriage with post cart stops. It has a leather upholstered seat with a foot rest and a hood attached. Between the seat and the foot rest is a hinged wooden flap covered in brown leather. The hood is made of brown leather imitation fabric and folds up and down on metal hinges on either side. The hood is lined with a stripy brown fabric. The leather armrests to the seat are edged with a brocade trim. Across the back of the seat are two leather straps, one of which is pierced with holes, and the other, which is broken, presumably had a corresponding buckle once. The exterior of the seat has a wooden frame painted sage green, black and yellow. The wooden frame is supported on a metal frame which in turn supports a small pair of metal spoked wheels at the front, and a larger pair at the back. The two curved wooden handles are also painted sage green and brown. A strip of leather hangs down from underneath the seat.
