Summary
An 18th century jointed doll with a wooden swivel head and upper chest, lower arms and hands all of which are painted. (circa 1745 to circa 1765). She has cloth upper arms and torso. Her face has painted features and a moulded nose, with glass eyes and real dark brown hair. The doll is wearing a pink silk dress with cotton lace trim to neckline and cuffs, two cotton petticoats, cream silk stockings with pale blue silk shoes. A fob watch is attached to the waist, by a corded wire. It has a jewelled back and paper face showing three o'clock. The doll is also wearing a lace mob cap with blue and white silk ribbon with wired edging.
