Summary
Five empty magic lantern slide cardboard boxes. Two of the boxes have lids, three are without. Inside one of the boxes is an advertising leaflet for 'Primus Junior Lecturer's Lantern Slides'. The two boxes with lids have pasted paper labels on the lids which reads as follows 'Best English Made Optical Lantern Slides12 In Box 3 and a quarter X 3 and a quarter.' Underneath this in between two lines is more print but it is unreadable. Both boxes have a paper circle which includes the name 'Benn Franks' and details of the company. Inside one box is a paper label reading 'Puss in Boots (2nd set - untitled)'. The other box is empty and has Sellotape around the box edge. One of the boxes with no lid is torn at the edges. The boxes are unmarked, and one box has Sellotape around the edge. The Primus Junior Lecturers' lantern slides box is double sided with black and white illustrations entitled 'Elephants Revenge' on one side. Underneath is a list of various slides and series. This is repeated on the reverse including illustrations of a train, a lion and another illustration. The manufacturer's name 'Ensign, Limited' and their address is printed at the bottom. Total number of items is 8.
