Summary

A child's outfit for dressing up as a policeman, made for a 3-4 year-old (circa 2007). It consists of a top, trousers, cap and a set of handcuffs. The top, trousers and cap are made from polyester, the inner shirt from polycotton and the handcuffs from plastic. The top consists of a short padded tabard (stab vest) in black polyester with short white polycotton sleeves. The tabard has details printed in white and silver-coloured ink and has a sound box inserted into a polyester 'Police' badge shape which emits a siren sound. There is a flap pocket at one side and a row of loops at the other. Attached with Velcro to the inside of the front is a shirt front - white polycotton with a black tie printed on. The trousers are black with borders of black and white checks near the leg hems and an elasticated waistband. The cap is made from black polyester with a brim reinforced with plastic. There is an insert of black and white checked polyester at the front over which is sewn a polyester 'Police' badge. The back of the cap is slightly elasticated, the crown is slightly padded. The handcuffs are made from moulded silver-grey plastic. The 'bracelets' are joined together with a short chain, attached to which are two keys. Moulded on the handcuffs near each lock is '1/4 Turn' and on the opposite side is 'Safety Release' and an arrow which points to a movable catch. Stuck to one of the cuffs is a ribbon label printed in red with 'Keep away from fire and naked flame'. Total number of items is 4.
