Summary
A ‘Hornby’ clockwork ‘Super Set R533’ toy railway set in original box. It consists of the following; 1/ Eight black plastic curved tracks. 2/ A yellow plastic tanker wagon which has two black chassis, and 'Shell' and the shell logo, printed in red printing ink on each side. It also an embossed ladder up to the top of the tank. 3/ A red plastic wagon with two black chassis, on each side simulated doors and locks. A blue plastic wagon the same as the red one. 4/ A black plastic engine. At the back is a driver's cabin, visible inside a metal wheel and rod and on the roof a metal lever. Four black plastic wheels with a metal piston rod connecting each pair. On the right-hand side of the engine a square metal rod set into the engine to enable the engine to be wound up. The clockwork mechanism is housed in metal beneath the engine. 5/ Two identical blue plastic cars. Each with four black plastic wheels, eight clear plastic windows, white plastic bumpers and white tow bars at the rear. 6/ A red plastic rectangular railway crossing with embossed lines and at each side a hole and a stop into which the white crossing gate fits. Also two square holes. The white plastic gate has a circle of plastic in the centre of the struts and a plastic lantern on the side nearest the pillar. 7/ A black metal winding key with two holes in the top. All the toys are held in a polystyrene box with indents for each article, with only the key taped to the outside of the box. The red card cardboard lid has six clear plastic windows over the toys. The black top has a colour printed photograph of a boy holding the engine and shell wagon, ‘Hornby Railways’, in yellow printing ink, across the right hand side. Around the sides are descriptions of the contents and manufacturer's name. Total number of items is 19.
