Summary
A black leather covered sewing box, in the shape of a book, with gold coloured tooling around the edges. An indented shape on the the front and back 'covers'. The spine has gold coloured tooling with three fleur de lye and Lady's Companion in gold coloured lettering. The top half lifts off to reveal six compartments lined with red patterned paper. One compartment has a red velvet covered pad. One compartment holds a silver coloured thimble. Also included is an ivory tool, shaped like a folding penknife, which has a pointed blade. Another tool has a long shaped tartan handle with a metal tip which has a hole to hold a needle. A leather needle case has white flannel insert edged with black blanket stitching. A pair of fine pointed metal scissors with a ridge pattern on the finger holds. Total number of items is seven
