Summary
A glass magic lantern slide housed in a wooden frame. The slide has a painted image of an old lady wearing a pink cloak and straw bonnet carrying a green umbrella. She stands in a snowy landscape with the moon rising above a tree. In front of her is a black bush. A ghost is painted on a piece of glass behind the one painted with the old woman. When this is moved it appears that a skull, mounted on a 'T' shaped post, wearing a white shroud and conical hat, appears to the woman in front of the bush. Her frightened reaction is painted on the left hand side of the piece of glass depicting the woman. When this is moved to the right she is shown having fallen on her back, her mouth wide open and her umbrella pointing straight up into the air.
