Summary
(3 items) A Cinematograph consisting of a black painted metal box containing a small oil lamp with glass chimney to provide the light. Heat escapes through a black metal chimney on top. At the front is a mechanism in which a metal crank with a turned wooden handle moves a loop of film carrying a black image on a clear background. This passes behind a lens assembly to project an image on to a wall or screen. There is another rolled film carried behind the lens. There is a hinged flap cover at the back of the box and the whole stands on a black metal plinth. (4 items) A square brown cardboard box with a lid which contains 2 loops of film, one depicting a dancing clown and the other a conjuror. 19 rectangular shaped glass lantern slides. 14 of the slides have 4 or 5 circular painted images on them, but one of the slides is broken and has a piece missing and 2 of them are stuck together. 5 of the slides have several images painted in a strip. 17 of the slides have worn paper frames. The slides are stored inside a rectangular cardboard pipe box and a printed paper leaflet for 'Black Lithograph Film' sits at the bottom of the box'. Total number of items is twenty nine
