Summary
A baby's first shirt made of cotton (circa 1800 - circa 1840). The armholes have triangular inserts underarm. The side seams are slit a short way and reinforced by triangular inserts at the top. The garment is very slightly stained. The neck has two slits on either shoulder forming a rectangular flap that folds down from the front and back to protect the baby's skin.
