Summary
A child's early 20th century long sleeved cream coloured dress with a sailor collar (circa 1900 to circa 1915). The front of the dress has a concealed opening with four mother of pearl type buttons and a hook and eye at the neck edge. There are five stitched pleats. The wristbands are closed by two buttons and handmade loops. The sleeve bands and collar have a floral design embroidered in self coloured thread. The collar has a lace and organza frill, part of which is detached. A line of feather stitching decorates the hem. Half way down the dress, on each side, there are two loops, decorated with feather stitching to hold a belt.
