Summary
An early 1970s black rayon satin long sleeved child's jacket and trousers (circa 1974), made by 'Wizard of Oz'. Donated in 1974 by the retailer 'Kids in Gear' of Carnaby Street, London. The jacket has a long zip opening with elasticated black and white ribbing at wrist and waistband. The neck edge, pockets on each side and upper sleeve seams have red piping. The seams and zip are stitched in red thread. The jacket has a mandarin collar. The long flared trousers have a front zip, two side pockets and a waistband finished with a red button. Two lines of red stitching run down the outside seam of the leg and a single row round the waistband and pocket edges. A label inside jacket states Washable 30 and inside the trousers handwash 30. Total number of items is 2.
