Summary
A board game, the New game of Emulation (circa 1804), which shows a series of oval pictures coloured in the repeating sequence of green, yellow, blue and grey on a pink background which are numbered from 1 to 66 forming a spiral shape. It is printed on paper which is in twelve pieces, backed with linen, for ease of folding. Printed at the top is 'The New Game Of Emulation, Designed for The Amusement of Youth of both sexes and calculated to inspire their minds with an Abhorrence Of Vice And A Love Of Virtue. London, Publish'd Decr 20th 1804, By John Harris (Successor to E. Newbery) at the Original Juvenile Library, Corner of St. Paul's Church Yard.'
