Summary
A child's 19th century fine cream woollen, long sleeved, coat fastened by four buttons (one missing) and buttonholes down the front. There is a wide cape collar which has a net frill gathered onto it. This frill has three rows of ribbon and a net edge. A similar net frill is attached to the lower edge of the coat. A cream braid is stitched to the coat, the cape and above the wrist. There are two long satin ties at the neck edge. The coat is lined with white cotton. There is evidence of insect damage. This coat may have had a cape attached - inventory number 668591.
