Summary
An autoperipatetikos doll with an untinted bisque shoulder-head. Moulded and painted facial features and moulded and painted blonde hair. Cream kid leather arms and hands with individually stitched fingers. It is unclear what the torso is made of. The lower body is made of hollow, moulded, cardboard inserted into which is a clockwork walking mechanism with original key. The lower legs and feet are made of hollow gold coloured metal. On the underside of each foot are two flat plates which enable the doll to 'walk'. Wearing a cream silk long sleeved dress trimmed with purple ribbon, cream lace and gold coloured braid and sequins. The back of the skirt is longer than the front. The purple ribbon sash ties at the back in two long ties trimmed with lace. Over this sash is another of maroon ribbon. Cream cotton petticoat. The collar is made of glazed ceramic decorated with blue and gold coloured glaze or paint. Total number of items is 2.
