Oil painting on copper, The Sudbury Cabinet: Adam and Eve driven from the Garden of Eden, studio of Frans Francken II (Antwerp 1581 - Antwerp 1642),17th century. (upper right panel) Adam and Eve garbed in leaves flee from a pursuing angel. An angel with pink draper and wings brandishes a sword of fire and appears in a column of smoke. On the left, the green fertile valleys of Eden are seen, on the right the small and dense shrubs of the world are depicted. Adam and Eve are depicted in dynamic poses emphasising the drama and action of the scene.
