Summary
A George II mahogany bureau cabinet with a pair of half-arched panelled doors above surmounted by a swan-necked pediment carved with bold flowerheads and centred by an urn and flambeau. The lower section with sloping fal-front with four-tumbler lock, enclosing drawers and pigeon-holes and with four graduated long drawers below raised on ogee bracket feet.
Provenance
Vernon collection transferred to the Treasury in 1967 following death of 9th Lord Vernon, and transferred to The National Trust in 1967.
