Oil painting on canvas, Tavern Scene, style of David Ryckaert III (Antwerp 1612- Antwerp 1661), 17th century. A man and a woman are seated at a table, with another man standing behind and a large brown jug on stool to the left. The middle-aged woman sits drinking at the table beside a man with a pipe. Inscribed, in ink, on back of frame: 'Jan Steen'.
