Summary
Embroidered tight cover to chair seat. Undyed linen plain weave open mesh, embroidered. Embroidery; straight back stitch and tent stitch (petit point). Silks dyed to browns-yellows-ivory;greens, purples-pinks; scarlet-pinks; blues; lilac; turquoises. Design; floral with diaper grounds. In four sections, hand sewn seams folded on four sides. Made in England circa 1700.
