Oil painting (circular) on plaster, Ceiling Roundel: Putto holding a Garland of Flowers above his Head (after Angelica Kauffman) by Louis-André Delabrière, circa 1785. A single putto, naked but for a cloak, in flight above clouds with blue sky background. Holds a garland of flowers above his head. Ceiling roundel set in gilt border.
Provenance
Believed to have been commissioned by Noel Hill (1745-1789), created 1st Baron Berwick in 1784; by descent bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
