Oil painting on canvas, Two Cocks Fighting, in the manner of Melchior de Hondecoeter (Utrecht 1636 – Amsterdam 1695), [previously attributed to Marmaduke Cradock (Somerton, nr. Ilchester c.1660 – London 1717)] 1660-90. One white and one grey cockerel fighting in the foreground, flanked by various smaller birds. In landscape setting.

Bought in 1861 by Colonel William Noel-Hill, 6th Lord Berwick (1802-1882); bequeathed to the National Trust in 1947 with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
