Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Possibly Noel Hill, 1st Lord Berwick, MP (1745-1789) on a Horse with Hounds, attributed to Thomas Stringer (Knutsford 1722 – 1790), previously catalogued as attributed to John Boultbee (Osgathorpe 1753 – Liverpool 1812), circa 1780. An equestrian portrait of Noel Hill riding, to the right, on a chestnut hunter, with three hounds in the foreground and a whipper-in in the background; he is wearing a blue coat with red collar.
