Summary
One of a pair of large overmantels with architectural style giltwood frame with bevelled glass. Central shell cartouche flanked by a swan neck pediment, scroll ends to uprights with carved pierced foliate decoration and outer border of repeated honeysuckle motif. English manufacture circa 1790.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
