Summary
A white-veined brown marble top, probably Belgian, atop NT 608142.1.1, a kingwood and tulipwood encoignure, or corner cabinet, French, circa 1760, by Pierre Wattelin (b. 1719), maître in 1757, of la rue Traversière in Paris. One of a pair. The other cabinet 608142.2.1; the other marble top NT 608142.2.2. The marble top shaped and with moulded front edge.
Provenance
Attingham collection and the property of Lady Berwick. Listed in the Inventory taken at Attingham Park circa 1953 Inventory in the Picture Gallery (p. 23). Bequeathed to the National Trust by Edith Teresa Hulton, Lady Berwick (1890 - 1972
