Summary
Baluster shaped water jug with high leaf moulded handle, scalloped rim and wide lip. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with 'The British Flora' pattern, with various flowers, foliage and butterflies on a stippled ground. Part of a two-piece washbasin and ewer set. 19th century manufacture by John Meir & Son of Tunstall, Staffordshire.

Miss Doreen Hunt collection (No 99). A gift to the National Trust from Miss Doreen Hunt, in May 1991.
