Summary
A two-piece set consisting of a circular washbasin with slightly flared sides, everted scalloped rim and raised on foot ring, and a matching baluster shaped water jug. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with 'The British Flora' pattern, with various flowers, foliage and butterflies on a stippled ground. 19th century manufacture by John Meir & Son of Tunstall, Staffordshire.

Miss Doreen Hunt collection (No.99). A gift to the National Trust from Miss Doreen Hunt, in May 1991.
