Summary
A woman's bodice, part of a dress, made from slate grey grosgrain silk. The long-sleeved bodice is trimmed with machine-made cream cotton lace in a circle and pinwheel motif on the stand collar, cuffs, yoke and front facings. There are two free hanging lapels of silk satin, attached at the shoulders and also trimmed with lace. Internally the bodice is fully lined in a beige/cream striped cotton with a small spotted design, with 4 boning strips and sixteen hooks & eyes centre front for fastening, intact.
