Summary
A woman's skirt, part of a day dress, made from a silk/cellulose blend in white with a vertical magenta stripe. The skirt is decorated around the hem with two tiers of spotted cotton gauze and white cotton lace with a scalloped edge and a deep magenta silk velvet ribbon, otherwise undecorated. It is partially lined on the hem with plain cotton and fastens on the waistband on the left hand side with three hooks and eyes, intact. The skirt has been altered historically.
