Summary
A woman's petticoat made from fine linen lawn. The white linen floor-length petticoat is decorated from knee to hem with panels of pintucking and cotton lace flounces and is gathered around the waist with a simple drawstring, intact. There is a monogram embroidered on the outer surface of the petticoat at waist height, right hand side, which reads either "CSL" or "CSG" topped with a crown.
Marks and inscriptions
Outer surface, proper right hand side.: There is an embroidered monogram in white thread stitched to the outside surface of the petticoat which reads possibly ""CSL" or "CSG" and is topped with a crown. See associated photograph for further information.
