Summary
A woman's jacket, part of an ensemble, made from black grosgrain silk. The jacket is decorated on the neckline, yoke, front facings, cuffs and lower hem with black cotton lace in a floral pattern, with the neckline and cuffs further trimmed with pleated cream silk mousseline. It is fully lined in cream cotton twill, with four boning strips and eleven self-covered buttons centre front for fastening, all intact. Handwritten on the inner lining of the front facings, "McDonald-Tyler", the donor.
