Summary
Sampler, undated, mid to late seventeenth century made into a bag in the ?18th century. Linen embroidered with coloured silks, silver and silver-gilt thread using rococo, crosslet, long- armed cross, raised plaited band, Roumanian and interlaced stitches with pulled work. Spot sampler of geometric repeating patterns which has been folded in half to make a bag. The opening edged with pink silk ribbon. Plaited green silk cord and ribbon.
