Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Man, in the manner of Thomas Hudson (Devonshire 1701 – Twickenham 1779), circa 1750. Half-length portrait of a man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, his left hand in his waistcoat, in a short powdered wig and wearing a grey coat and waistcoat with silver frogging, his black hat under his left arm.

Acquired at unknown date by Frank Green as a portrait of the novelist Henry Fielding by Michael Dahl. Hung in the Kings Room 1922-date. Gift of Francis 'Frank' William Green FSA (1861-1954) with Treasurer's House n 1930
