Summary
A black lacquer and brass mounted cabinet, Japanese export, late 17th century. Originally fitted with an arrangement of drawers (now missing) with a pair of doors decorated overall with cranes in a landscape settings, with brass hinges and mounts and carrying handles to the sides.
Provenance
Given by Frank Green (1861-1954) along with house, garden and contents to the National Trust in 1930.
