Portrait miniature, enamel, Sir John Trevelyan, 2nd Bt of Nettlecombe (c.1670-1755), British (English) School, c.1690. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a man, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a blue cloak and large white cravat. Blue eyes, grey full-bottomed wig, pale complexion, aged 25-30. Plain dark brown background, lit from the left.
