Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Called Julia Conyers, Lady Blackett (d.1722) but really Lady Julia Lumley, Lady Conyers, attributed to Isaac Seeman (fl.1739 – London 1751), inscribed: in 18thC with name of sitter, bottom right: JULIA, LADY CONYERS/dr: of Rd: 2d. [sic] Viscount Lumley/mr: of Julia, wife of Sr: Wm: Blackett. A three-quarter length portrait of a young woman, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, seated, wearing a blue overdress, her left elbow resting on her ermine stole on a plinth.
