Summary
Bottle or rosewater sprinkler, porcelain, of tapering pear-shape with double knob and narrow spout, after an Indian metal ware form (see NT1333858), made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China, c. 1695-1710; decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, painted with foliage in tear-drop shaped panels, a band of upright overlapping leaves in sizes around the foot, rims dressed with iron oxide brown.
