Partial set of five cups and three saucers, porcelain, made in Arita, Japan, c.1695-1720; decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, iron-red enamel and gold, the sides with four stylised peony beneath a rim band of confronting snake-like dragons chasing a flaming pearl.
