Summary
Bowl with a saucer (see 581638.1), one of two, porcelain, deep with ogee-shaped foliated flaring rims, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China, 1695-1715; decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, translucent polychrome (famille verte) enamels and gold, painted in the centre with two phoenix (fenghuang) on rockwork in a garden, the rims with eight panels outlined in red with various landscapes, the inner rim and exterior foot with bands of red and blue flowerheads on green scrolled panels, the base with double concentric rings enclosing a pseudo square seal mark.
