Engraving on paper, Diogenes carrying his Lantern in Daylight in serach of an Honest Man (called after Salvator Rosa) by William Sharp (London 1749 - Chiswick 1824), 1792. [signed lower right: W. Sharp Sculp]. The original painting was in the Museum of Art, San Diego, California (ex John Knight 1820/30s) until sold at Sotheby's New York, 15th January 1987 as Dutch School, 17th century.
