Oil painting on canvas, The Right Hon. Henry Bilson-Legge, PC, MP (1708-1764) as Chancellor of the Exchequer by William Hoare of Bath, RA (Eye 1706 – Bath 1792), circa 1754. A portrait of Bilson Legge as Chancellor of the Exchequer, seated, in robes and holding a roll of papers in his left hand. His right arm rests on a table on the left and his hand is on his thigh. A variant of this portrait, with right hand pointing, is in the Government Art Collection and a copy is an Hinton Ampner, NT1530101.

By inheritanceto the sitter's daughter Mary Bilson-Legge ( 1780 - 1864); bequeathed of Charles Dutton, 7th Baron Sherborne (1911 – 1982), along with the rest of the Sherborne Estate, to the National Trust in 1982
