Summary
Oil painting on canvas, John Lloyd MP of Peterell, Co. Cards. (d. 1755) by Thomas Hudson (Devonshire 1701 – Twickenham 1779), 1750. An oval painted half-length portrait, young man, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, in powdered wig, wearing an olive-green velvet coat, white satin waistcoat with gilt frogging (embroidered), plain white stock, black bow and lined ruffles.
Provenance
Gifted to the National Trust in March 1944 by Reverend Herbert Thomas Charles Lloyd-Johnes.
